Phone checks, OTP and identity: which proof is needed?

A phone check describes a number; OTP tests access to a channel; identity verification checks a person’s claim. Choose the proof for the task. Do not infer ownership from a mobile line or safety from Approved.

Run the example

Download the ZIP below, extract it and enter the verification_delivery directory. Python 3.10+; no credentials or network calls.

python3 delivery.py phone --branch otp
python3 delivery.py identity --db /tmp/gridzen-delivery-fixture.sqlite
python3 -m unittest -v test_delivery

Inputs, outputs and limits

Input: the requested proof. Output: next step and explicit unsupported or synthetic state. OTP delivery is unsupported here; identity output is synthetic; anonymous trials are not production approval. Choose an authorized live route separately.

Test every branch

Engineering tests cover simulated transitions, bindings, duplicate callbacks, restart and timeouts. They do not prove production success, external adoption or Agent superiority.

python3 -m unittest -v test_delivery

Sources and scope

Based on the alpha contract and source implementation. Live route availability requires separate confirmation.
