What is a Trust Decision API?
GridZen is a provider-neutral trust decision API. It turns authorized identity, account and risk signals into explainable onboarding, payout and account-change decisions. The current alpha provides the event contract, evidence model and starter policy; live provider use is a separately authorized evaluation.
Where it fits
Payment and fintech teams that already have provider relationships can use a common event contract rather than expose every upstream response to their application. A decision layer separates signal interpretation from the customer workflow. The customer still chooses the permitted checks, owns the operational action and defines who reviews exceptions.
The request and result
A request contains an event, the minimum subject identifiers, context and an optional provider selection. A response includes allow, review or decline, risk_score, reason_codes, normalized evidence, providers_used and a trace_id. An allow result from local-baseline means only that the starter development policy found no local exception; it does not establish identity or safe payment.
What is implemented
The alpha registry selects explicitly configured provider IDs. local-baseline makes no third-party request. The optional Twilio Lookup adapter normalizes phone validity and line type for controlled evaluation. General cost/latency optimization, production-grade multi-tenant credential management and a customer policy editor are not established by this alpha. No managed Provider Pack is advertised as active.
Sources and scope
Based on the alpha contract and source implementation. Live route availability requires separate confirmation.
