Identity verification vs decision orchestration
Verification produces evidence about a particular identity or account assertion. Decision orchestration combines permitted evidence with an event policy to decide what the customer workflow should do next. GridZen operates at the decision layer; its development baseline is not an identity verification service.
Compare the outputs
An identity provider may report a match, mismatch or unavailable result with provider-specific metadata. A decision layer maps supported signals to a stable evidence shape, adds reasons and returns an operational policy result. A positive identity match can coexist with a review decision if other supported signals raise an exception. A missing result must remain distinguishable from a negative match.
Who owns each part?
The provider controls its source service and access terms. The customer controls its application, lawful processing scope and final action. GridZen provides the integration and decision contract within the authorized route. Buying orchestration does not transfer provider redistribution rights or replace the customer KYC programme.
Choose based on the problem
If the missing capability is an authoritative identity check, identify a provider and confirm access first. If the problem is inconsistent integrations, exception handling or explaining how evidence affected an event, assess orchestration. In either case, test with synthetic or explicitly permitted data before considering a live route.
Sources and scope
Based on the alpha contract and source implementation. Live route availability requires separate confirmation.
